Nilla Neon

This is for all those occasions where you want to wear something subtle, like…neon. The first try of this color can be seen in the photo gallery–it’s the one where the skein is lounging in a white pedestal dish. I started with a subtle overlay of blue on that one, thinking I wanted a bright, crispy white. I was disappointed by the color but couldn’t figure out why. The next time, I left the natural cream color of the wool. I think it’s such an improvement, and it’s how this became “Vanilla” neon. The warm white is a more contrasting backdrop to the splashes of pastel neon. I hope you will use this yarn to make a basic sweater that surprises all the neon haters out there as they get closer and closer. In dk weight for a lightweight fabric that doesn’t take forever to knit. This yarn has several plies for a very round, yet fluffy barrel that smooshes between your fingers and puffs up in your project. I like knitting it with size 3 needles for a dense but drapey fabric.
