Learn the basic techniques of knitting stranded colorwork in a 2 hour class! We will make adorable pouches, an easy project designed specifically for learning stranded colorwork.

You’ll learn:

  • How to hold and tension yarn and project when using two colors
  • How to follow a colorwork chart (used more commonly than written instructions)
  • Why and when to hold one color under the other to enhance readability of design motifs

CLASS LEVEL: Intermediate:

Prior knowledge of knitting in the round is required, as all stranded colorwork is knitted in the round and there won’t be time during our session to cover these basics. However, as long as you can knit in the round, new knitters are very welcome and you don’t need any additional skills to be able to begin colorwork.

Materials & Tools:

Please have the following materials and tools ready when you sign in for class:

  • Worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors:
    • Yarn for Color A | Approx. 200 yds*
    • Yarn for Color B | Approx. 200 yds*
