Floor’s Lava

When we were just young children, (or even drunk twenty-year-olds) we humans have always known that whether the floor we stand on is wood, linoleum, or wall-to-wall shag rug, it’s just not as exciting as when the floor is lava. Where does this inner wisdom come from? Perhaps it is in our bodies; an evolutionary excitement-seeking device that tells us when we’ve been indoors for too long, and society is suffocating us. Whatever this phenomenon is owed to, perhaps it is these moments when the wildest oddities of the natural world invade our cozy little homes–even in play–that our homes become an environment that truly supports life.
