Somewhere deep inside, we have always known that if the floor we stand upon is wood, linoleum, or wall-to-wall shag rug, it’s just not as exciting as when the floor is lava. Where does this inner wisdom come from? Perhaps it is in our bodies; an evolutionary excitement-seeking device that tells us when we’ve been indoors for too long, and society is suffocating us. Whatever the origin of these moments when we declare the floor lava, there are few more precious moments than when we invite the wild oddities of the natural world to invade our cozy little homes.
